This Privacy Policy describes how Bidatv (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use the Bidatv mobile app and related services. This Policy is designed for users in the United States and other regions where the App is offered.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to personal information we process when you use the Bidatv App. It does not cover third-party websites, apps, or services that you may access through links in the App (such as the Apple App Store), which have their own privacy policies.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide
Account & profile — email address (for sign-in codes), nickname, avatar, bio, user ID, and preferences you set in the App;
Host application — if you apply to become a host, information you submit through the in-App application channel and the outcome of our review (approved or denied);
Live & social activity — stream titles, cover images, welcome messages, chat messages, gift activity, PK and guest-audio participation;
Reports — report category, description, and screenshots you choose to upload;
Device & app data — device model, operating system, app version, language, IP address, general location derived from IP, crash logs, and diagnostic data;
Usage data — features used, rooms joined or hosted, session duration, taps/interactions, and network or reconnect events;
Transaction data — Coin balances and in-app purchase history for users who recharge; Gem balances, gift-to-gem conversions, and earnings-related records only for approved host accounts (payment card data is processed by Apple or other payment providers, not stored by us).
Audio, video & real-time communication
When you watch, or—if you are an approved host—broadcast, join PK, or use guest audio, audio/video is transmitted through real-time communication services. Chat and system messages are processed through instant messaging services. We do not use your live stream content for advertising profiling.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
Provide and improve the App (live streaming, chat, gifts, PK, guest audio, wallet, notifications);
Authenticate you, secure accounts, detect fraud, and enforce our Terms and community standards;
Process virtual currency transactions, display Coin balances, and—for approved hosts—record Gems and calculate earnings/settlement;
Review and process host applications;
Respond to support requests and send service-related notices;
Analyze performance and usage in aggregated or de-identified form;
Comply with law and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in these situations:
Service providers — companies that help us operate the App (e.g., cloud hosting, real-time audio/video, instant messaging, analytics), under contracts that limit their use of your data;
Other users — information you choose to make public (e.g., profile, chat in a live room, gifts sent);
Legal & safety — when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to investigate abuse;
Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection of your information.
5. Third-Party Services & SDKs
The App integrates third-party SDKs that may collect information necessary to provide their functions, for example:
Instant messaging (e.g., Tencent Cloud IM) — chat delivery and group membership;
Apple — App Store purchases and device identifiers as described in Apple’s privacy policy.
SDKs may change as we update the App. Their practices are governed by their respective privacy policies.
6. Device Permissions
With your permission, the App may request access to:
Camera — live preview and broadcasting;
Microphone — live audio and guest audio;
Photo Library — cover images, avatars, and report screenshots;
Local network / Internet — connectivity to our servers and streams;
Background audio (if enabled) — continued audio playback in supported scenarios.
You can change permissions anytime in iOS Settings → Bidatv. Some features will not work without required permissions.
7. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations.
When you delete your account:
Regular users (viewers): we delete or anonymize personal information within a reasonable period after confirmed deletion, except where retention is required by law (e.g., certain transaction records).
Approved hosts: deletion is available only after your Gem balance is zero and all outstanding earnings have been settled as described in our Terms of Service and in-App notices. Until then, we may retain earnings-related and host activity data needed to complete settlement. After eligible deletion, we delete or anonymize personal information within a reasonable period, except where financial, tax, or legal retention applies.
8. Your Privacy Rights (U.S.)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
Know what personal information we collect and how we use it;
Access or receive a copy of certain personal information;
Correct inaccurate information (e.g., via Edit Profile in the App);
Delete personal information (via Delete Account in Settings; host accounts must meet Gem and earnings-settlement requirements first);
Opt out of certain processing where applicable (e.g., “sale” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising—we do not sell personal information as defined under California law).
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): You may submit a request to 13726867419@163.com with subject line “Privacy Request.” We will verify your identity before responding. You may designate an authorized agent where permitted by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

9. Users Under 18
Bidatv is intended only for individuals 18 years of age or older. The App is not directed to children or teenagers under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have collected information from someone under 18, contact us at 13726867419@163.com and we will take steps to delete it and close the account.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Protect your email access and do not share verification codes. Sign out on shared devices.
11. International Transfers
We and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. By using the App, you understand that your information may be transferred to jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your home country, with appropriate safeguards where required.
12. Changes & Contact
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the revised Policy in the App and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated through the App or other reasonable means.
